tanz is an organic, UV-free spray tan studio and café inside Catted Family in Pipera, on the north edge of Bucharest. Most of our clients live or work nearby, in Pipera, Voluntari, Băneasa and Floreasca, but plenty travel across the city for a tan they trust before a wedding, a holiday or a competition.

one studio, clients from all over the city
We have one studio, and it's worth the trip. A session takes 15–20 minutes, consultation included, so even with the drive it fits into a lunch break or a Saturday morning. The colour develops after you leave and generally lasts 5–7 days. You only need to keep your skin dry for at least 4 hours afterwards, so plan the rest of your day around that.
And because tanz is also a café, nobody waits on a hard chair: have a coffee, a smoothie or a juice before or after your tan.
pipera and voluntari
This is our home. tanz sits on Șoseaua București Nord, inside Catted Family, near Pipera Plaza and One North Gate. If you live in one of the residential compounds in Voluntari or Pipera, we're only a few minutes away.
Many of our weekday clients work in the office buildings along Bulevardul Pipera. A 15–20 minute session fits into a lunch break, and you can take a coffee back to the office.
băneasa, aurel vlaicu and the north
From Băneasa or Aurel Vlaicu it's a short drive east, about 5–6 km. Clients from Tunari, Otopeni and Corbeanca come to us too, often combining a tan with a coffee on the terrace on a weekend morning.
floreasca, barbu văcărescu and herăstrău
Floreasca and Barbu Văcărescu are our closest city neighbourhoods, about 3–5 km away. Clients from around Herăstrău Park often book a body tan before the weekend, or keep a light glow all year with a subscription.
aviatorilor, primăverii and dorobanți
From Aviatorilor, Primăverii or Dorobanți it's about 6–8 km north to Pipera. Many of the brides and bridesmaids we tan come from these neighbourhoods. They usually book our special-occasion package, with a first session to find the right shade and a second one before the day itself.
the centre and the rest of bucharest
From Piața Victoriei it's about 7–8 km, and from Piața Unirii or the south of the city about 10–12 km. Clients from the centre and the south usually come for a reason worth the drive: a wedding, a gala, a holiday or a bodybuilding competition. If you're coming from further away, book a time outside the rush hour and let us know if you're running late.

Body tan, 129 lei, and body + face tan, 189 lei. Our most popular tans, bookable online.
Special-occasion package, 370 lei. Two sessions for a wedding, a christening or another big day.
Competition tan, 190 lei. Extra dark, for bodybuilding, fitness and bikini competitions.
Clear tan, 129 lei. A softer colour focused on hydration and glow.
Groups, from 650 lei for 4 people. A bride with her bridesmaids, or friends before a party.
Subscriptions. 1 month for 500 lei (3 full tans, plus touch-ups) or the full season, 3 months of unlimited tans, for 2,550 lei.
Gift cards, from 189 lei.
Everything except the body and body + face tans is booked at the studio or through our contact form.
before you travel to us
A spray tan works best on prepared skin, so do the prep at home: exfoliate about 24 hours before, shave or wax 12–24 hours before, and come with clean, dry skin and loose, dark clothes. If you're driving home afterwards, that's fine: just avoid tight clothes and sweating while the tan develops. No time to exfoliate? We can do it for you at the studio before your tan. Do you only serve Pipera and Voluntari?
No. Our studio is in Pipera, and our clients come from all over Bucharest: Băneasa, Floreasca, Aviatorilor, Dorobanți, the centre and further.
Is it worth the drive from the centre?
A session takes only 15–20 minutes and the tan generally lasts 5–7 days. For a wedding, a holiday or a competition, most clients from the centre think so.
Can I come in my lunch break?
Yes. If you work in Pipera, a 15–20 minute session fits into a lunch break. Just keep your skin dry for at least 4 hours afterwards.
Can I book for a group from another part of the city?
Yes. Groups start from 650 lei for 4 people. Book through the contact form or at the studio, and we'll find a time that suits everyone.
